Welcome to Yoga and Mindfulness for kids at Belmont with Ms. LouAnn, where students of all ages are encouraged to laugh, have fun, listen to and learn from your own body and mind through yoga and mindfulness exercises!
Cost for the 8 sessions is $195 and all materials are included: mats, blocks, arts and crafts, mindfulness manipulatives and gratitude journals to take home at the end of the session. Recaps of each session will be sent to parents so they can follow along in the fun!
Yoga and Mindfulness club runs MONDAYS from...
Pickup in the bus loop at 4:30!
Half of the class time will be dedicated to yoga poses and fun creative movement on our mats (provided!) and the other half will be exercises in mindfulness in our surroundings. The majority if not all of the classes will be conducted on the fields of Belmont to maximize the fresh air and sunshine. Each participant will be given a gratitude journal and pen and encouraged to journal in moments of reflection or quiet and on that day's theme. Minimum number of students for the club to run is 5 students and the maximum enrollment is 20, this form will close at that time to let you know that the club is full.
Ms. LouAnn is a member of the Enrichment Collective, a team of specialists in their fields that love working with children the most! Ms. LouAnn started yoga years ago as a way to reduce stress and anxiety. Once she realized she was getting so much stronger mentally and physically, she decided to get certified to deepen her own practice. LouAnn has a background in early elementary education and psychology and is 200 hour certified and also has a 140 hour certification for Warriors and Trauma sensitive yoga.
