The Heart Behind the Collective

In 2005, our story began at a NAEYC conference in Washington, DC. What started as professional development for Ms. Stef quickly became something much bigger — a calling.

At the time, Ms. Stef was teaching music to young children in the DMV area. But that conference — and the incredible educators she met along the way — solidified what would become her life’s work: nurturing infants, toddlers, and preschoolers through joyful, purposeful enrichment. Music wasn’t just her job. It was her passion, her creative outlet, and her way of building connection.

Over the next two decades, Ms. Stef worked in preschools and community programs across the DMV — large schools, small schools, independent campuses, multi-location programs — learning firsthand what makes each community unique. Along the way, she met extraordinary educators: art specialists, Spanish teachers, drama directors, dancers, PE coaches, early childhood experts. The best of the best.

More importantly, she found collaborators.

Even when teaching at different schools or in different neighborhoods, these educators stayed connected — sharing ideas, refining curriculum together, problem-solving challenges, and supporting one another as professionals and friends. They believed in collaboration over competition. They believed that enrichment should feel intentional, thoughtful, and deeply rooted in child development.

From that shared vision, our Enrichment Collective was born.

Today, in 2026, we are proud to bring together local, trusted specialists who have spent decades teaching in this community. We know the schools. We know the families. And most importantly, we know how children learn best.

When you partner with us, you’re not hiring a single instructor — you’re joining a collaborative network of educators who:

  • Design curriculum together
  • Share lesson plans and ideas
  • Support one another’s growth
  • Problem-solve as a team
  • Stay current with early childhood best practices

Each of us brings deep expertise in our specialty — music, art, Spanish, drama, dance, physical education, and more — but we work as one collective with a shared mission:

To spark confidence, creativity, and connection in every child we teach.

We are homegrown and local specialists who have been serving this community for years. We collaborate. We refine. We grow. And we do what we love - together.

We can’t wait to share that joy with your school community.
